A patent application may be filed by both natural and legal persons, e.g. limited companies, universities etc., and by other organizations who, pursuant to Danish law, are treated as legal persons.
During the case processing of Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) the applicant is declared to be entitled to enjoy the rights of the invention.
You are allowed to state more than one applicant. For practical reasons DKPTO will forward all correspondence to the applicant whose name appears first on the application form. This applicant will automatically be considered empowered to receive correspondence on behalf of the other applicants. If another applicant than the one listed first on the application form should be the contact to DKPTO and the one who is entitled to receive correspondence on behalf of the other applicants, you must indicate this by underlining the name in question on the application form.
In the event that the right over the invention is passed to some one other than the applicant, this natural or legal person may proceed with the application instead of the original applicant.
